Day 1 — Nairobi → Lake Bogoria → Nakuru (Hot Springs, Geysers & Flamingoes)

Depart Nairobi after an early breakfast and drive through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Bogoria National Reserve mid-morning, famous for its:

  • Thousands of greater & lesser flamingoes (seasonal)

  • Hot springs and natural geysers

  • Rare wildlife including greater kudu

  • Rich birdlife — hornbills, fish eagles, starlings, warblers, goshawks, ostriches

Explore the hot springs area on foot, take photos of steaming geysers and enjoy spectacular views of the Rift Valley escarpments. Lake Bogoria is also one of the world’s most important flamingo habitats — often hosting the largest population of lesser flamingoes on Earth.

Later in the afternoon, drive to Nakuru town for dinner and overnight at a safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 2 — Full-Day Lake Nakuru National Park Safari (Rhinos & Scenic Flamingo Lake)

After breakfast, enter Lake Nakuru National Park for a full day of game viewing with a packed picnic lunch.

Lake Nakuru is a protected bird and mammal sanctuary recognized worldwide for:

After lunch, enjoy a boat ride across Lake Naivasha where you’ll see:

After breakfast, drive a short distance to Hell’s Gate National Park, Kenya’s premier walking & cycling park.

This dramatic landscape features:

  • Gorges & geothermal steam vents

  • Abundant wildlife — zebras, buffalo, elands, gazelles, baboons

You may choose to walk, hike or cycle in the park (bicycle hire available at the gate).

Visit the stunning Lower Gorge (weather permitting), learn about geothermal power at Olkaria Power Station, and take in breathtaking views before departing for Nairobi.

Arrive in Nairobi around 4:00 PM and transfer to your hotel or airport.
